Akron skates past Wray with ease

Recap: Akron Rams vs. Wray Eagles
Even though the Akron Rams have not done well against the Wray Eagles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Akron simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wray 54-23 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-10.
Akron got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kashlee Randel out in front who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Randel scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Benish, who scored 14 points.
Akron now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Akron and Fleming will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wray won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Denver Christian at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th.
