Basketball Recap: Boerne Wins Going Away Against Hanks

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glenn, Boerne was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Hanks Knights 45-25. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Loss or not, Hanks got some senior leadership from Daisy Fernandez and Anette Hernandez. Fernandez posted 13 points and eight rebounds, while Hernandez earned eight points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Fernandez also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January.

The victory got Boerne back to even at 7-7. As for Hanks, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Coppell the next time they take the court. Hanks will head out to face Coppell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Boerne will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
