Basketball Recap: Cloverdale Takes a Loss

Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the North Central Thunderbirds 66-18. While losing is never fun, the Clovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 86th).

North Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalyn Davidson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, ten boards, and nine assists. Those ten rebounds gave Davidson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Seay, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and six steals.

Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for North Central, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cloverdale has already played their next matchup (against Dugger Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Central has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Bloomfield.
