Baseball Recap: Berwyn/Cicero Morton Takes a Loss

Berwyn/Cicero Morton came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Glenbard West Hilltoppers, falling 17-6. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Berwyn/Cicero Morton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alejandro Guzman, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Jhon Garces also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Berwyn/Cicero Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Glenbard West, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Looking ahead, Berwyn/Cicero Morton will take on Downers Grove South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenbard West, they will challenge Hinsdale Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
