Football Recap: Great Oak Wolfpack vs. Corona Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Great Oak). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Corona Panthers 50-0 at home. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolfpack needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
Great Oak wouldn't let Corona keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Great Oak can thank Kade Prosser and Dylan Keith for forcing both of them. Carson Wight was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Great Oak's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Corona, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.
Great Oak will head out on the road to square off against Murrieta Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corona, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corona is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
