Volleyball Recap: Erin Daniel Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Gibsonburg

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty-Benton, Hopewell-Loudon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Gibsonburg Golden Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Chieftains, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hopewell-Loudon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Hopewell-Loudon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erin Daniel, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Daniel a new career-high.

Hopewell-Loudon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Gibsonburg, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
