It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ellicottville can now relate to. They lost 65-45 to the Franklinville Panthers on Saturday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Ellicottville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker John, who posted seven points. Dominic Polino was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Ellicottville was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their sixth loss (out of 19 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Ellicottville's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Franklinville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Ellicottville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklinville, they will face off against Holland at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Holland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
