Lawrence North is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Western Boone just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Stars since on Saturday.

Jaida Wheat made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Martin-Thomson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Lutheran had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Braves 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saints have posted since May 18, 2024.
Gracie Boggs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Leyla Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Indianapolis Lutheran's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lawrence North, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
