Recap: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Tooele Buffaloes

On Thursday, Snow Canyon ended the year with a bang, routing Tooele 66-40. That looming 66-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Snow Canyon yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Snow Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Mackay, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Mackay's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Damon Ence, who scored 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Tooele lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan B rogers. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. B rogers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Dillon Polson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

The win makes it two in a row for Snow Canyon and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Tooele, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Snow Canyon and Alta will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Alta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Snow Canyon likes a good challenge. Tooele won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Desert Hills at 3:30 p.m. on December 29th. Desert Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Tooele likes a good challenge.
