Eau Gallie is 8-2 against Rockledge since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Commodores will be playing at home against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Eau Gallie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Eau Gallie proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out St. Mary's 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Commodores have posted since March 5th.

Gabriella Barrera was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Leech, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rockledge's offense. They fell just short of Merritt Island by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Raiders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Haley Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

Eau Gallie's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rockledge, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eau Gallie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Rockledge struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Eau Gallie's way against Rockledge when the teams last played back in February, as Eau Gallie made off with an 8-1 victory. Do the Commodores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
