Preview: Center Place vs. Christian Learning Center Mustangs
Two dominant players in Noah Alaniz and Easton Rhodes are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Center Place the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Christian Learning Center Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Center Place lost a heartbreaker to Plaza Heights Christian Academy when they met back in February of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. Center Place took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plaza Heights Christian Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Center Place in their matchups with Plaza Heights Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Christian Learning Center's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-38 bruising from Clinton Christian Academy.
Ryan Koch put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hill, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Center Place's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Christian Learning Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Center Place skirted past Christian Learning Center 46-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Center Place repeat their success, or does Christian Learning Center have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
