Volleyball Recap: Wayne Trace Comes Up Short

Wayne Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty-Benton Eagles. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Torree Sinn paced Wayne Trace's offense, picking up nine kills. Sinn got some help from Olivia Zartman and her 16 assists. Sinn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wayne Trace's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Liberty-Benton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Wayne Trace didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bath on the 6th. As for Liberty-Benton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against North Central on the 6th.
