Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pontiac Indians. The Comets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6.

Pontiac can attribute much of their success to Morgan Dewald, who had 14 assists and four aces. Dewald is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Pontiac, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Reed-Custer has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Coal City on the 7th. As for Pontiac, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rantoul on the 7th.
