Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Des Moines). They breezed past the Primero Bulldogs to the tune of 74-42 on Thursday. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.
Des Moines was led to victory by Holly Ward and Rylan Brown. Ward to rack up 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals, while Brown posted 14 points along with eight steals and seven assists. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ali Poling, who scored 15 points and four steals.
Des Moines smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.
