Baseball Recap: Bethel-Tate Comes Up Short

Bethel-Tate fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Miami Valley Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 back in April.

Bethel-Tate saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Moss, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Moss has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Bethel-Tate has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

Bethel-Tate didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 win against Felicity-Franklin on the 17th. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will take on Norwood in a tournament on Thursday.
