Volleyball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Charlotte Latin Hawks. The game marked the first time this year in which the Red Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Olivia Easton paced South Point's offense, picking up five kills. Easton got some help from Ava Cooper and her nine assists. Easton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Charlotte Latin found their leader in sophomore Ryan Burrell, who had 12 digs and one assist. Burrell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Charlotte Latin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

South Point has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Charlotte Christian on the 23rd. As for Charlotte Latin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sun Valley on the 23rd.
