Maize South had already won 13 in a row and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hutchinson Salthawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

Maize South easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17.

Leading Maize South to victory were Kendyll Nash and Payton Southard. Nash had ten digs and two assists, while Southard had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Southard has posted since back in October of 2024.

Maize South's victory bumped their record up to 31-3. As for Hutchinson, their loss dropped their record down to 22-12.

Coincidentally, Maize South and Hutchinson will both be playing Valley Center the next time they take the court. The Salthawks will head out to face the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mavericks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
