Basketball Recap: Baker Takes a Loss

Baker and Laurel Hill squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Baker had to settle for second. They came up short against the Laurel Hill Hoboes, falling 62-38. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-44 back in January.

Aiyana Dixon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Laurel Hill, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 27 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dixon a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Savannah Riley, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Baker has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Laurel Hill, their record is now 13-7.

Baker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laurel Hill, they have already played their next game, a 63-54 defeat against Jay on the 6th.
