Football Recap: Dutch Burbidge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pasadena over San Dimas

After flying high against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary last Friday, Pasadena came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 33-24 to the San Dimas Saints on Friday. The Bulldogs lost against the Saints in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dutch Burbidge, who threw for 291 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. Burbidge has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Pasadena's leading receiver Kyle Robertson was Burbidge's top target yet again, picking up 128 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Pasadena's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for San Dimas, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Pasadena is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Dimas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
