Cedar Catholic lost against Boone Central back in October of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cedar Catholic Trojans fell just short of the Boone Central Cardinals by a score of 3-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar Catholic actually scored more points across those five sets (101-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 8-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Cedar Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyndsey Hamilton, who had ten digs, two aces, and a kill. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Hochstein, who had 19 digs.

Even though they lost, Cedar Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Boone Central was led to victory by Madison Gompert and Brooklyn Primrose. Gompert had 14 digs and two aces, while Primrose had four digs and four aces. The dominant performance gave Primrose a new career-high in aces.

Cedar Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Boone Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-15.
