Basketball Recap: Union Grove Skates Past Linden-Kildare with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Union Grove challenged Linden-Kildare on Tuesday. The Union Grove Lions breezed by the Linden-Kildare Tigers to the tune of 66-23. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Lions just coasted through the last quarter.

Union Grove was led to victory by Hudson Wightman and Jace Roberts. Wightman went 9 of 14 en route to 19 points and three steals, while Roberts dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Wightman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Day, who posted five points and eight rebounds.

Union Grove was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Union Grove pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game.
