Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington and Marquette squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lexington had to settle for second. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 16-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Knight, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Marquette, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-3.

As of now, neither Lexington nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
