Football Game Preview: Hoopa Valley Warriors vs. McKinleyville Panthers + How To Watch

The Hoopa Valley Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the McKinleyville Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoopa Valley hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Hoopa Valley and Arcata were almost perfectly matched up, but Hoopa Valley suffered a 13-12 loss.

Hoopa Valley's defeat came about despite a quality game from Allen Kane, who rushed for 70 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, McKinleyville was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They took a blow against Ferndale, falling 79-0. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

McKinleyville's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hoopa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Hoopa Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against McKinleyville when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
