Basketball Game Preview: Oxbow Olympians vs. Blue Mountain Bucks

The Oxbow Olympians will square off against the Blue Mountain Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oxbow will be strutting in after a victory while Blue Mountain will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Oxbow turned things around against Sharon Academy on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 57-37 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Olympians have posted since December 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, Blue Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Richford, falling 72-36. The game marked the Bucks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Oxbow's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Blue Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Oxbow was able to grind out a solid victory over Blue Mountain when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 53-43. Will Oxbow repeat their success, or does Blue Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
