Soccer Game Preview: Friendswood vs. Iowa Colony

The Friendswood Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Iowa Colony Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Friendswood took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Angleton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Friendswood had just enough and edged out Angleton 2-1 on Friday. The result kept the Mustangs happy, as they haven't lost a game since February 12th.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Iowa Colony made sure to put some goals up on the board against La Porte on Friday. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

Iowa Colony pushed their record up to 9-7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Friendswood, they now have a winning record of 8-7-5.
