Volleyball Recap: Ellsworth Falls Short Against Ranked Washington Academy + How To Watch

Ellsworth faced Washington Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 25-14.

Lauren Young paced Ellsworth's offense, picking up two kills. Young got some help from Sophie Harmon and her two assists.

Ellsworth has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Washington Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Coincidentally, Ellsworth and Washington Academy will both be playing Brewer the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Witches at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
