Basketball Recap: Central Mountain Comes Up Short

Central Mountain lost against Williamsport back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Central Mountain Wildcats took a 76-62 bruising from the Williamsport Millionaires.

Despite the loss, Central Mountain still got an impressive performance from Hunter Hoy, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 25 points. Hoy's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Shade, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.

Central Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Williamsport, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Coming up, Central Mountain will venture away from home to challenge Hollidaysburg at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. Hollidaysburg will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Central Mountain surely won't give up without a fight. As for Williamsport, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-60 victory against Executive Education Academy Charter School on the 13th.
