Eads posted their closest win since October 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Eads was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Anna Wollert paced Eads' offense, picking up 18 kills. Wollert got some help from Aspen Nelson and her 22 assists. Nelson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Peyton Eder, racking up three apiece.

Eads now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Eads didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Springfield on the 29th. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Briggsdale on the 29th.
