Wright Christian hadn't beaten Wesleyan Christian on the road since August 31, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Mustangs last Friday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Wright Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 30-28, 25-20, 25-19.

The victory made it two in a row for Wright Christian and bumps their season record up to 21-4. As for Wesleyan Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-6-1.

Coming up, Wright Christian will square off against Union Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wesleyan Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against Liberty Academy, they'll take on Wesleyan Christian again at 7:00 p.m. on October 6.
