Baseball Recap: Tomales Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Tomales was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 6-2 to the Calistoga Wildcats. The Braves were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Tomales saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jorge Lopez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Lopez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Tomales dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Calistoga, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Tomales and Calistoga will both be playing Sonoma Academy the next time they take the field. The Braves will host the Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
