Basketball Recap: Bridge City Gets the Win

Bridge City hadn't done well against Lumberton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bridge City Cardinals narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lumberton Raiders 33-30. The 33-point effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bridge City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Lumberton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bridge City Cardinals take on the Silsbee Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lumberton, they will head out on the road to square off against Little Cypress-Mauriceville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
