Softball Recap: Murrieta Valley Takes a Loss

Murrieta Valley couldn't beat Vista Murrieta on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Nighthawks lost 16-7 to the Broncos. The Nighthawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Evun Seeforth and Kylee Hill stepped up to the plate in a big way. Seeforth went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double, while Hill went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That double marked the first that Seeforth has hit this season.

Murrieta Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Vista Murrieta, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murrieta Valley will host Chaparral at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.35 runs per game on average), something the Nighthawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Vista Murrieta, they will take on Murrieta Mesa at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight matchups.
