Softball Game Preview: Los Fresnos Falcons vs. Weslaco Panthers

For the second straight game, Los Fresnos will face off against Weslaco. The Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Los Fresnos has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Los Fresnos' offense. They came up short against Weslaco on Thursday, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The win (which was Weslaco's 15th in a row) raised their record to 19-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Los Fresnos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15-1 record this season.
