Softball Recap: Sullivan Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Sullivan had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cascade Cadets by a score of 8-4. The Golden Arrows have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cadets, too.

Sullivan let Rachel Eslinger and Jaylynn Hobbs run wild. Eslinger went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Hobbs went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kensley Wiltermood, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Sullivan's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Cascade, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan will face off against Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Arrows' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Cascade, they will square off against Greencastle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
