Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Denver Christian walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monte Vista Pirates on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunder, who have now won 11 contests in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Amina Weber paced Denver Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Weber got some help from Hadley Pellegrino and her 22 assists. Bree Austin controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Monte Vista had strong showings from Reminee Mascarenas, who had 11 digs, and Abbi Ortega, who had eight assists and seven digs.

Denver Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Denver Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Sedgwick County on the 13th. Monte Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
