Basketball Game Preview: Brookstone Cougars vs. St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings

Brookstone hasn't had much luck against St. Anne-Pacelli recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Brookstone Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Brookstone came up short against Calvary Christian and fell 66-57.

Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Westfield School 66-47. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Hornets are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Anne-Pacelli pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Brookstone, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-8.

Brookstone lost to St. Anne-Pacelli on the road by a decisive 55-36 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Brookstone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
