After only two runs in their last matchup, Calvary Baptist Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Homer on Thursday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Pelicans with a sharp 18-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Jack Testa looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jacob Tibbett was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Maddux Lyddy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Calvary Baptist Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
