Fredericksburg V takes loss despite strong efforts from Chris Jones and Zebedee Bowers

The Fredericksburg V Victory's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-45 loss at the hands of Fairfax HomeSchool. While losing is never fun, Fredericksburg V can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Fairfax HomeSchool is ranked 100th).

Despite the defeat, Fredericksburg V had strong showings from Zebedee Bowers, who scored 14 points, and Chris Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jones continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Fredericksburg V has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fredericksburg V will face off against Grace Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfax HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chelsea Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Chelsea Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
