Volleyball Game Preview: Palo Verde Panthers vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

The Palo Verde Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Verde will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Palo Verde is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sierra Vista by a score of 3-1.

Palo Verde walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 19-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge faced Foothill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Falcons 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

Shadow Ridge pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Palo Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.

Palo Verde took their win against Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
