Harding is 0-5 against Pymatuning Valley since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Skippers will be playing at home against the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Harding put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Richmond Heights a 30-0 shutout. With that win, the Skippers brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Elijah Harless was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Wright, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and four RBI.
Harding hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richmond Heights struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley entered their tilt with Mathews on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 10-8.
The team relied heavily on Ryan Croston, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Pymatuning Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sean Croston, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Pymatuning Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Harding, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Harding has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pymatuning Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
