Basketball Game Preview: Rivercrest Rebels vs. Clarksville Tigers

The Rivercrest Rebels will head out to take on the Clarksville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rivercrest will be strutting in after a victory while Clarksville will be coming in after a defeat.

Rivercrest is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 38-30 victory over Maud on Tuesday.

Rivercrest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Diana Kelley, who posted eight points and three steals, and Makayla Evans, who had nine points. Evans continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Clarksville came up short against Bowie on Tuesday and fell 51-38.

Clarksville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Rivercrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-18 record this season.

Everything went Rivercrest's way against Clarksville in their previous meeting last Saturday, as Rivercrest made off with a 66-44 win. Will Rivercrest repeat their success, or does Clarksville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
