Josh Boyd ran for two touchdowns and
KaDarius Garrett added two as well as
Norcross (Ga.) bested Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, Ga.) 49-3 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Clinton Lynch in the first quarter, the Blue Devils were up 28-3 at the half.
Norcross expanded its lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. NHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Boyd to Lynch.
Boyd was the top performer for the Blue Devils. He. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Led by
Lorenzo Carter, Coming into the game Norcross had allowed 22.8 points per game this year.
NHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 55-0.
With the win the Blue Devils extended their winning streak to three games.
Habersham Central (0-6) will play a AAAAAA Region 7 game against Meadowcreek next week, while Norcross (4-2) will take on Collins Hill also in a AAAAAA Region 7 game.
