Recap: Martin Luther Spartans vs. Greendale Panthers
The Martin Luther Spartans's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 60-54 win over Greendale. That's another feather in the cap for Martin Luther, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peyton Yoder, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Giselle Paszkiewcz, who scored 11 points along with three blocks.
Martin Luther's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Greendale, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin Luther is on the road again on Wednesday and play against New Berlin West at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (New Berlin West is ranked 260th, while Martin Luther is ranked 239th). Greendale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Allis Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
