Basketball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

ROWVA/Williamsfield was the 54-43 winner over Brimfield when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars were beaten by the Brimfield Indians 63-30 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Indians are ranked 110th).

ROWVA/Williamsfield's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Brimfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

ROWVA/Williamsfield will face off against Wethersfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. ROWVA/Williamsfield is facing Wethersfield at the right time seeing as Wethersfield is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Brimfield, they will square off against Havana at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brimfield will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Havana will have lost three straight heading into Friday's contest.
