Basketball Recap: Happy Valley Comes Up Short

Happy Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Knights earlier this season, when they won 60-44.

Happy Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Chuckey-Doak, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Happy Valley will face off against Hampton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chuckey-Doak, they will be playing at home against Johnson County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Johnson County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
