Basketball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka lost against Rock Falls back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eureka Hornets took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Falls Rockets. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly seven points.

This is the second loss in a row for Eureka and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Rock Falls, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eureka will take on Tri-Valley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Eureka surely won't give up without a fight. Rock Falls and Mendota will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
