Football Recap: Guilderland Flying Dutchmen vs. Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks

Guilderland easily dispatched Schenectady last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Flying Dutchmen fell just short of the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks by a score of 28-25 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Flying Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 34th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saratoga Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benjamin Coryea, who rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Coryea is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season. Saratoga Springs also got help from Gavin Lafrance, who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.
