Metuchen hasn't had much luck against Dunellen recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Destroyers at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Metuchen's win against Middlesex wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Bluejays 11-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Sarah Lindemann was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Leah Dagan was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Metuchen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Dunellen didn't have quite enough to beat Carteret on Monday and fell 13-11. The Destroyers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kasey Manna stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alexa DeVesa, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Dunellen, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
