St. Agnes had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the St. Paul Central Minutemen get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The one-run effort marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Josh Lopez's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

St. Agnes pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Agnes will head out to challenge New Life Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aggies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
