Sierra piles up the points against Riverdale Christian

The Sierra Chieftains extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Riverdale Christian Ambassadors. They blew past the Ambassadors 76-40 on the road. Considering Sierra has won four matches by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sierra's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnny Harshman led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another big playmaker for Sierra was Gage Hamilton, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Sierra is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Riverdale Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Sierra will head out on the road to face off against Fresno Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fresno Christian comes in on 11 and Sierra on three. Riverdale Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
